IS THIS AN INVESTMENT SITE?
No. You won't hear any get rich quick stories here. This is a hobby site for collectors, for fun and enjoyment. View my current ebay auction listings- click here.
Tangible assets such as numismatic coins and currency should not be viewed as investments, but rather a store of value and for hobby and enjoyment. Tangible holdings are physical assets you hold in a secure location somewhere, such as in a safe deposit box at your local bank, or a vault or safe of an asset storage firm. Ideally these holdings will perform as a hedge against inflation. If you're looking for investments, please see your stock broker, CPA or financial planner. I am not a stock broker or banker, just a collector. If your desire is to invest, you should consult an expert in investing if that's your goal.
SO WHAT ARE TANGIBLE HOLDINGS?
Basically it can be any asset you hold. Anything you have purchased where a numeric dollar value is assigned when bought or sold. "Stuff"... This can be real estate, livestock, vehicles, antiques, coins, collections, precious metals, stamps, baseball cards, gemstones, jewelry, tools, collectible firearms, food, collectible wines or other spirits, digital currency (like bitcoin) etc... anything you decide to put your money into that is LEGAL to buy or sell. The ideal asset holds it's value and functions as a hedge against inflation, but anything you purchase can lose value too. Values on anything fluctuates up and down all the time. (even cash) Learn, read books, talk to experts, watch for trends in values. There is nothing wrong with just keeping your money in an FDIC insured bank or a government approved IRA, or with a reputable financial firm or broker. Always consider consulting with an investment expert before putting your hard earned money into anything. Understand the risks involved.
